Many of our guests ask for recommendations on where else to go in Kenya besides Olepangi Farm (of course!) . . . well to be honest, we do have some favourite places and we're happy to share those with you here.  We've divided our recommendations into two itineraries, one for newcomers to Kenya and one for those who are "old hands" and want to do something a little more adventurous and off the beaten track.

A first visit to Kenya?

Then we suggest our trusted driver William collect you from JKIA and bring you straight to the farm.  From the farm, you can spend anywhere from two nights to a week just exploring the Mt Kenya/ Laikipia area (see Things to Do section), then join a flight to the Masai Mara and stay at either House in the Wild or Ngare Serian.  We'd suggest a minimum of three nights to properly appreciate this wildlife reserve considered one of the best in the world.  Then fly on to Lamu on the coast and stay at either Peponi or a Private House.  An experience you will never forget.

An "old hand" ready to travel further afield?

Then we suggest our trusted driver William collect you from JKIA and bring you straight to the farm.  From the farm, you can spend anywhere from two nights to a week just exploring the Mt Kenya/ Laikipia area (see Things to Do section), then drive north to Kitich Camp in the Mathews Range for three nights, down two nights in Meru at Rhino River Camp, fly from Nanyuki to the Chyulus and a well-deserved rest again in Lamu.
